PacePact — Privacy Policy

PacePact is operated by Wolf Technologies Ltd (UK). This policy explains what we collect and why. We are the data controller for the personal data described below.

What we collect

• Account data — email address and name (or, with Sign in with Apple, the identifier Apple provides), stored in AWS Cognito.
• Location data — collected only while you actively record a session with the in-app tracker. We never collect location in the background outside a recording, and never for advertising. GPS points are used to compute your distance and to verify that recorded activity is genuine (pace and movement plausibility checks). A compacted route trace is retained with the session for verification and dispute resolution.
• Activity data — distance, duration, pace, and timestamps of recorded sessions; your challenge entries, completions, and Credit balance and history.
• Purchase data — Apple transaction identifiers needed to credit your account. We never see your card details; payment is handled by Apple.

What we do NOT do

• No selling of personal data. No third-party advertising or tracking SDKs.
• No background location surveillance.
• No use of your data for purposes other than operating PacePact.

Legal basis

Performance of contract (operating your account, challenges, and Credits), legitimate interests (verifying activity to keep challenges fair, preventing fraud), and consent (location access — revocable at any time in iOS Settings, though recording then cannot function).

Storage and retention

Data is stored with Amazon Web Services in the EU (London region). Session route traces are retained for up to 12 months after the related challenge settles, then deleted or anonymised; account and Credit records are kept while your account is active.

Account deletion

You can permanently delete your account and all associated data at any time in the App: Settings → Account → Delete Account. Deletion removes your profile, sessions, route traces, challenge history, and Credit records, and cannot be undone.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, or portability of your data, and you may complain to the ICO (ico.org.uk).
